Empower Therapeutic Support Services LLC provides Therapeutic Mental Health Services that are culturally appropriate and address issues experienced by individuals and families involved in child protection, children's mental health and corrections. Some of these issues are inclusive of but not limited to grief and loss, trauma, depression and anxiety. Empower's therapists utilize a systemic approach in working with individuals and families in order to create effective sustaining change within the family system. Empower uses a relational diagnostic assessment tool to identify relational patterns that contribute to the challenges that individuals face. In addition, Empower utilizes a solution-focused problem solving approach in working with individuals. Empower currently provides culturally appropriate therapeutic mental health services for individuals and families involved with child protection, children's mental health and juvenile corrections in Anoka County. Through this experience, Empower has had the opportunity to serve many diverse families consisting of many cultures including the following; West African, East African, Native American, Latino, African-American and Caucasian.

Empower staff utilize client centered and relational based techniques to assist families involved in the corrections and human services system with developing strategies to address the problems they face. Empower works collaboratively with other service providers. Through collaborative work with the individual, family, probation officers, social worker and other professionals involved with the case, we are able to work together to help the client live their lives independently and achieve and maintain success and effective change within their family system.

County Workers & Probation Officers

For the county worker and probation officers in the suburbs near the Minneapolis and St. Paul area, there is an on-going need to find mental health providers to deliver culturally specific services to expanding diverse populations. Empower is looking to expand its services to serve diverse clients who are residing in the nearby suburbs. We are currently working with families who reside in Anoka County (Columbia Heights, Fridley, Coon Rapids, Blaine and Anoka), Ramsey County (St. Paul and Maplewood) and Hennepin County (Minneapolis, Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park).
